Congratulations to our pupils and past pupils who are members of Belclare Comhaltas on their fantastic achievements at the County Fleadh last week in Gort. Well done to our pupils who competed at their very first Fleadh in such great numbers! Among the many successes over the weekend, a special mention to the U15 grupa ceol on placing 1st, this is a huge achievement. Congratulations and well done also to the U12 grupa ceol, U15 céilí band and the U18 céilí band who all placed 2nd. They, along with a number of soloists, singers, lilters, duets & trios now qualify to perform at the Connacht Fleadh in Ballinasloe in July. […]

Our Victorious, youthful girls team won the Raftery LGFA shield after a nail biting encounter with Ballinderry on Thursday last. A fabulous display of ladies football in the summer sunshine which will live long in the memories of all involved. Post match celebrations followed in Supermac’s to cap off a memorable evening. Thanks girls. we are really prod of your efforts.

Our Raftery cup team bridged an 8 year gap as they produced the performance of the year to bring home the Raftery cup in glorious sunshine beating a talented and spirited Ballinderry team.Fun,hard work and superb football won the evening. Here are some photographs that will stand the test of time and will be used to aid memories for many years to come.

We wish Emily Doherty in 6th class every success as she travels to Orlando over Easter to take part in the World Cheerleading competitions. This is a huge achievement, well done!
